Jennifer Lawrence Biography
Jennifer Shrader Lawrence is an American actress who rocketed to stardom playing Katniss Everdeen in the blockbuster "The Hunger Games" franchise. At just 22, she snagged both an Oscar and Golden Globe for Best Actress.
Childhood
Jennifer was born in suburban Louisville, Kentucky, to Gary Lawrence, who owned a construction company, and Karen Koch, a preschool teacher. She was the youngest of three kids, with older brothers Blaine and Ben Lawrence.

Early Career
Everything changed in 2004 when 14-year-old Jennifer and her parents took a spring break trip to New York. While the family was casually walking around the city, a stranger approached them and asked to photograph Jennifer. Before leaving, he asked for her parents' phone number, and the next day, Jennifer got invited to a casting call for an Abercrombie & Fitch ad.

The Hunger Games
In 2011, director Gary Ross set out to adapt Suzanne Collins' novel "The Hunger Games". The novel depicts a brutal tradition in a superstitious post-apocalyptic society: every year, 24 teenagers participate in "the hunger games", a real battle for survival.

The final part of the franchise ("The Hunger Games: Mockingjay") was split into two films, which were presented to the audience in 2014 and 2015 respectively. According to estimates, all parts of the franchise grossed $2.8 billion at the box office. "The Hunger Games" became one of Hollywood's most commercially successful projects of the last decade, and in 2015, Forbes awarded Jennifer Lawrence the status of Hollywood's highest-paid actress.

Further Career
In 2015, the actress appeared on screens as a single mother named Joy, who invented a self-wringing mop. The emotional comedy received mixed reviews, but Lawrence's performance was universally praised. She was nominated for an Oscar in 2016, but the award for Best Actress went to Brie Larson for her role in the drama "Room".

However, the thriller "Red Sparrow" failed to delight viewers. Jennifer's performance didn't impress even spy thriller fans, let alone critics. The film did not receive even the most trivial film award.

Jennifer Lawrence's Personal Life
From 2011 to 2013, Jennifer Lawrence was in a relationship with Nicholas Hoult, her co-star from "X-Men", where he played the mutant known as Beast.

Jennifer kept her love life under wraps until she was spotted with Cooke Maroney in May 2018. The man is five years older than the movie star.

Jennifer Lawrence Now
In 2021, Lawrence starred alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the dark comedy "Don't Look Up" – a biting satire about humanity's response to an incoming planet-killing asteroid, where society chooses denial over action and turns every attempt at saving the world into a media spectacle. Production wasn't without its mishaps – filming had to be temporarily halted when Jennifer injured her eye with glass shards from a trash can that crashed down from a window during shooting.
Shortly after giving birth to her son, Jennifer jumped back into filming the raunchy comedy "No Hard Feelings". The new mom had planned to take a break from acting, but she couldn't resist a script she called "funnier than anything I'd ever read." Lawrence plays a 30-year-old living in a gentrifying neighborhood who's struggling financially as wealthy newcomers drive up costs. To make ends meet, she takes a bizarre gig: seduce a wealthy couple's awkward teenage son – but he's nothing like the guys she's used to dealing with.
