Joe Jonas Biography

Joe Jonas (full name Joseph Adam Jonas) is a beloved American singer and actor. Together with his brothers, he formed the band "Jonas Brothers," which shot to fame in the mid-2000s. In 2009, the musical series "Jonas," based on their lives, hit the airwaves and became a huge hit.

When the band went their separate ways, Joe dropped several solo tracks before forming a new group called "DNCE." Their breakout hit "Cake by the Ocean" quickly climbed to the top of international music charts.

Childhood

Joe Jonas was born on August 15, 1989, in Casa Grande, USA. He wasn't an only child – his parents also raised three other sons: Kevin, Nick, and Frankie. The boys' mother, Denise Miller, was an accomplished singer, while their father, Paul Jonas, had a lifelong passion for music and songwriting. As Joe grew up, he also developed a love for music and dancing.

While still in school, the brothers caught the eye of a Columbia Records executive. After listening to their home recording, he offered them a record deal. The song that changed everything for them was "Please Be Mine." Once they signed the deal, the boys began brainstorming a name for the band. At first, they wanted to call it "Sons of Jonas," but after talking it over, they decided "Jonas Brothers" had a much better ring to it.

Jonas Brothers and Solo Projects

In summer 2006, they dropped their debut album "It's About Time," which quickly sold 50,000 copies. Unfortunately, this wasn't enough for the label, so by early 2007, they parted ways with Columbia Records and soon signed with Hollywood Records. That same summer, they dropped another album simply called "Jonas Brothers." Almost instantly, they built a massive fan base and even snagged the 5th spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

In summer 2008, the band dropped "A Little Bit Longer," which hit #1 on the Billboard 200. A year later, they treated fans to "Lines, Vines and Trying Times," which also topped the national chart. In spring 2012, they announced they were leaving Hollywood Records and got back the rights to their songs.

In July 2020, the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Willa. Two years later, they had another daughter, keeping her name under wraps for a while before revealing they'd named her Delphina.

Unfortunately, their younger daughter's name only became public due to difficult circumstances: in the fall of 2023, Joe and Sophie decided to divorce, citing "different lifestyles." A source close to the couple revealed that Joe prefers staying home, while Turner loves going out. Friends weren't surprised since they'd basically been living separate lives for months.

Joe Jonas Now

In May 2023, the Jonas Brothers released a new album titled "The Album." The band then launched a massive tour with an ambitious promise – they'd perform every song from each studio album at every show.

The divorce from Sophie Turner got messy fast. Turner sued Joe over custody of their daughters. Sophie claimed Joe was illegally preventing her from seeing their daughters. The musician's representative claimed that Sophie was using the court system to retaliate against her ex-husband for revealing private divorce details to the public.
