A 49-year-old man shared his experience of overcoming the loss of his father. The tragedy occurred when Sean was just five years old.

That evening, Lennon and his wife, artist Yoko Ono, were returning home to "The Dakota" - a New York residential complex. Around 10:50 p.m., Mark David Chapman, who had received Lennon's autograph earlier that day, approached them.
Chapman fired five shots, four of which hit Lennon. Despite police attempts to provide first aid and urgent transportation to the hospital, the musician could not be saved.
The killer did not attempt to flee and was arrested at the scene. It was later revealed that Chapman, obsessed with the idea of killing a celebrity, chose Lennon as his victim.
Additionally, besides Sean, the artist left behind a son, Julian, from his first marriage with Cynthia Powell, with whom Lennon studied at the Liverpool College of Art.
