Elijah Wood Returns to the Shire

The actor who played Frodo Baggins decided to show up at a Lord of the Rings fans' wedding held at the trilogy's filming location, giving everyone the best kind of surprise.

As Entertainment Weekly reports, the event was styled after Peter Jackson's epic trilogy. The bride, groom, and wedding guests all dressed in traditional hobbit attire. That can't be said for Wood, though. The actor showed up to the wedding in jeans, sneakers, and a casual windbreaker.

"This is amazing, and everyone's dressed as hobbits!" the actor exclaimed, clearly blown away by the wedding setup. Worth noting: Elijah crashed the event completely unannounced and uninvited, but naturally sent the guests and newlyweds into absolute euphoria. Though it took them a moment to realize who was standing in front of them.
After snapping photos with the overwhelmed couple, Wood went on his way.
