Mckenna Grace was born on June 25, 2006, in the small town of Grapevine in Texas. Her father is Ross Burge, an orthopedic surgeon; her mother’s name is Crystal Grace.

McKenna became interested in the acting profession early. On the little girl’s 5th birthday her great grandfather presented her a collection of films with Shirley Temple, after watching which Grace said that she had decided on her future occupation. At the family council, it was decided to send the girl to acting classes. The teachers were amazed by the talent of the young actress ‒ Mckenna “could do things that simply can’t be taught”. Soon, the young girl had her own agent, who already after a week found the first job for her ‒ shooting in a commercial for YMCA.

Following the advice of the agent, Mckenna and her parents went to Los Angeles to take part in the casting for one of the leading roles in the full-length film Goodbye World (directed by Denis Hennelly). To the great happiness of the little girl, she was approved. The film was released in 2013 and received restrained feedback from viewers and critics. However, participation in such a project was a good start for the little actress.
