Mckenna Grace biography
Mckenna Grace is a young American actress who has gained popularity thanks to the roles in the films Gifted (2017) and I, Tonya (2017), as well as in the TV series Fuller House, Designated Survivor, and many others. Net worth: $2 million.Childhood
Mckenna Grace was born on June 25, 2006, in the small town of Grapevine in Texas. Her father is Ross Burge, an orthopedic surgeon; her mother’s name is Crystal Grace. McKenna became interested in the acting profession early. On the little girl’s 5th birthday her great grandfather presented her a collection of films with Shirley Temple, after watching which Grace said that she had decided on her future occupation. At the family council, it was decided to send the girl to acting classes. The teachers were amazed by the talent of the young actress ‒ Mckenna “could do things that simply can’t be taught”. Soon, the young girl had her own agent, who already after a week found the first job for her ‒ shooting in a commercial for YMCA.Following the advice of the agent, Mckenna and her parents went to Los Angeles to take part in the casting for one of the leading roles in the full-length film Goodbye World (directed by Denis Hennelly). To the great happiness of the little girl, she was approved. The film was released in 2013 and received restrained feedback from viewers and critics. However, participation in such a project was a good start for the little actress. By the will of fate, by that time the girl’s father had been accepted in the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program in California, and soon his spouse together with 7-year-old Mckenna moved to him. The world of cinema was already closed, and it was not so difficult to go to the castings. By her 11 years, Mckenna had acquired considerable baggage of roles. She was lucky to work with such Hollywood stars as Eddie Murphy and Britt Robertson in the drama Mr. Church (2016; dir. Bruce Beresford), Jeff Goldblum, and Judd Hirsch in the science fiction film Independence Day: Resurgence (2016). In addition, the young girl has appeared in several popular TV series, such as Crash & Bernstein (2012-2014), The Young and the Restless (2013-2015), K.C. Undercover (2015), The Vampire Diaries (2015), Fuller House (2016-2018), and others ‒ by the 12th anniversary, in the filmography of the girl there were about 25 roles in the series in total. However, according to critics, Grace’s most important work is the lead role in the drama Gifted, which was released in 2017. Casting for the role took almost 8 months ‒ more than 600 teenagers came to the audition, but little Mckenna seemed the most persuasive to the producers. In the drama directed by Mark Webb starring Chris Evans, the little girl played as a wunderkind of remarkable abilities in the field of mathematics. Critics praised Grace’s acting, noting: “Child actors who are too developed for their age are sometimes annoying, especially when they play wunderkind characters. But Mckenna Grace, with her attentive eyes and lost front teeth, charming and skillful way of presenting is no worse than Drew Barrymore in E.T. Extra-Terrestrial.” The role in this film brought not only two nominations for prestigious awards (including Critics’ Choice Movie Awards), but also the first popularity. Since 2016, Mckenna has been playing as Penny Kirkman, the daughter of the character performed by Kiefer Sutherland, in the ABC popular political series Designated Survivor. According to Zoomboola.com, in 2017, she could be seen in the drama I, Tonya about the famous American figure skater Tonya Harding. The girl played as the athlete in her childhood; Margot Robbie got the lead role in the film. The girl appeared in a small role in the film by the legendary film director Steven Spielberg Ready Player One starring Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke, and Ben Mendelsohn.
