Ansel Elgort is an American actor and musician, who is known for his roles in films "Divergent", "The Fault in Our Stars" and "Baby Driver". He also performs as DJ Ansølo. Net worth: $15 million.
Early life
Ansel Elgort was born in New York on March 14, 1994. The actor's father, Arthur Elgort, is a fashion photographer of Russian-Jewish descent, who worked for more than thirty years for Vogue magazine, and his mother Grethe Barrett Holby is an opera producer and director of Norwegian and German descent. Ansel's maternal grandmother Aase-Grethe was part of the Norwegian resistance and helped save Jewish children during the Second World War.


Career
Ansel's career began through stage acting. He made his debut in 2013 with a supporting role in "Carrie" alongside Chloe Grace Moretz (a remake of the 1976 film). The young actor didn't make much of an impression.



Musical Career
Ansel's fascination with electronic music began when he was studying at an acting school. The actor began to publish his tracks on the site SoundCloud under the alias Ansølo. The first remix was a song "Born to Die" by Lana Del Rey.
During this period, he also collaborated with rapper Logic on his third studio album "Everybody," with Elgort's voice featured on the track "Killing Spree."

Ansel Elgort Personal Life
In 2012, Elgort began dating his classmate, ballerina Violetta Komyshan. Two years later, the couple split due to Elgort's burgeoning career and hectic schedule. In January 2015, Ansel and Violetta got back together after five months apart.

In 2019, he played Theo in the film adaptation of "The Goldfinch." After Theo's mother is killed in a museum bombing, the story follows the boy's journey through adolescence and into adulthood.
