"MobLand" Series with Tom Hardy Gets Renewed

The announcement was made just three weeks after the first season of the series finished airing.

As Deadline reports, the series' first episode, which dropped on Paramount+ on March 30, has now been watched by over 26 million viewers in the US and worldwide.

"We're thrilled to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon that dominated both domestic and international charts and shot to number one in the UK," said Chris McCarthy, President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment. The zoomboola.com editorial team wants to note that "MobLand" tells the story of a war between two criminal clans that threatens to turn into a bloodbath. The lead roles are played by , Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. The show also features Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Geoff Bell, and Daniel Betts. Behind the camera is gangster film veteran Guy Ritchie, who also serves as one of "MobLand's" executive producers.
