Nikita Kukushkin and Yuri Kolokolnikov fight with Austin Butler in the new trailer for "Caught Stealing"

What other actors were shown to the audience in the video? And in what roles did Russian actors appear in the film of the Oscar nominee? We tell you.

The legendary Darren Aronofsky, known for "Requiem for a Dream," returns—this time not with tears, but with fists, Russian mafia, and a menacing 1990s New York.

The first trailer for the thriller "Caught Stealing" has been released, and it looks like we're in for an Aronofsky in the unusual form of a crime action film.

The clip begins by introducing us to the main character—Hank Thompson, played by Austin Butler. A former baseball player, now a bartender with a battered face, who seemingly wanted a peaceful life but ended up in the midst of a criminal hell.

At some point, a neighbor (a punk with a mohawk, Matt Smith) asks him to look after his apartment and cat. And it's this animal that sets off a chain of troubles.

Very soon, Russian mobsters appear in the hallway (in the best tradition—with shaved heads and displeased faces), and within a couple of minutes, a fight breaks out.

The scene changes. It turns out the punk friend owed a lot of money to several criminal gangs: from the Russians to the Jewish mafia. And now, for some reason, they all think Hank is involved.

Notably, the film features a rich cast: Zoë Kravitz (the protagonist's love interest), Regina King, Liev Schreiber, Action Bronson, Griffin Dunne, Bad Bunny, and Vincent D'Onofrio.

Russian actors also appear on screen: Nikita Kukushkin and Yuri Kolokolnikov—in the roles of those mobsters who, just by looking at them, make you want to keep your distance. They've truly embraced their roles, no doubt about it.

By the way, Kolokolnikov is steadily establishing himself in Hollywood: he was recently seen in the third season of "The White Lotus." As for Kukushkin, this is his first experience of this kind.

You can see how Nikita handled his Hollywood debut on August 29. Get ready: this Aronofsky is not for quiet and thoughtful evenings like "The Whale," but for those who want energetic action almost in the spirit of Guy Ritchie. Previously, we at zoomboola.com told how Nikita Kukushkin landed a role in "Caught Stealing."
