Childhood
Dominic McLaughlin was born in 2013 in Scotland.Starting in 2020, Dominic began taking acting classes at a performing arts academy in Scotland.
McLaughlin first gained stage experience in "Macbeth." In the William Shakespeare production, he worked alongside Ralph Fiennes, who Harry Potter fans know as Voldemort from the feature films.
Dominic also managed to get some film experience. In the family comedy "Grow," which unfolds against the backdrop of pumpkin-growing competitions, he played Oliver Gregory, a supporting character. He got to work with Nick Frost, who landed the role of gamekeeper Hagrid in the new wizarding series. The film was shot in England in 2024, with plans to release it to audiences in 2025.
That same year, BBC was set to premiere the series "Gifted," based on Marilyn Kaye's novel about teenagers with superpowers, featuring McLaughlin.
