Childhood
Dominic McLaughlin was born in 2013 in Scotland.Starting in 2020, Dominic began taking acting classes at a performing arts academy in Scotland.
McLaughlin made his stage debut in "Macbeth." In the William Shakespeare production, he worked alongside Ralph Fiennes, who Harry Potter fans know as Voldemort from the feature films.
Dominic also landed his first film role. In the family comedy "Grow," set in the world of competitive pumpkin growing, he played Oliver Gregory, a supporting character. He got to work with Nick Frost, who landed the role of gamekeeper Hagrid in the new wizarding series. The film was shot in England in 2024, slated for release in 2025.
That same year, BBC planned to premiere the series "Gifted," based on Marilyn Kaye's novel about teenagers with superpowers, featuring McLaughlin.
