Childhood
Arabella Sophie May Stanton (or Bella, as her family calls her) was born in London on April 11, 2014.She showed early acting promise and started training at the Guildford School of Acting, British Theatre Academy in Aldens.
By age 9, she was already performing in the West End — one of London's premier theater districts.
In September 2023, Arabella made her debut in the musical "Matilda," bringing to life Matilda Wormwood, an extraordinarily intelligent girl surrounded by ordinary people. She wrapped up her run in March 2024. That same year, she began playing a character named Control in another musical production — "Starlight Express."

"Harry Potter" from HBO and the New Hermione
In May 2025, it was announced that Stanton would play Hermione Granger in the new Harry Potter series. She'll be joined by Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley.Harry Potter fans have largely embraced Arabella's casting. She matches the book's description of studious Hermione Granger: curly hair (unlike Emma Watson, who played Hermione in the films), brown eyes, and prominent front teeth.
