3 Best TV Series of 2025 — According to the Emmy Awards. Hits from HBO, Apple and Netflix

The 77th Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles, with the top statuettes going to three series that viewers and critics have been talking about all year long.

The best drama went to "The Pitt," comedy category saw "The Studio" take the crown, and miniseries "Adolescence" became the night's real champion, sweeping six major awards. Here's the full breakdown on each of these standout projects:

The Pitt — Best Drama Series

Starring: Noah Wyle, Tracy Ifeachor, Patrick Ball

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 95%

"The Pitt" is HBO's medical drama where each episode covers one hour of a 15-hour emergency room shift. The creators show the daily grind of doctors and nurses pushed to their breaking point: resource shortages, constant emergency calls, and brutal moral choices.

The lead character is Dr. Edwards (Noah Wyle). His performance earned the actor a win for "Best Actor in a Drama Series." Catherine LaNasa also snagged an Emmy for her supporting role.

The Studio — Best Comedy Series

Starring: Seth Rogen, Catherine O'Hara

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 93%

Apple TV+ took a gamble on a Hollywood satire, and it paid off big time. The story centers on Matt Remick (Seth Rogen), the new president of Continental Studios who dreams of making great cinema but has to greenlight absurd blockbusters for profit. His boss Griffin Mill (Bryan Cranston) demands hits, and the team has to balance art with box office returns.

But plenty of strong projects got left behind at the Emmys that definitely match the winners' quality. At uznayvse, we picked our own favorites — series that could've easily taken home statues and absolutely deserve your attention:
  • "Andor" (Season 2) — space drama showing the dark side of rebellion in the "Star Wars" universe.
  • "The Last of Us" (Season 2) — touching and brutal survival story in a post-apocalyptic world based on the cult game.
  • "Severance" (Season 2) — intellectual thriller about the line between work and personal life.
  • "The Bear" (Season 4) — dramedy about a kitchen where family relationships run hotter than any steak.
  • "Shrinking" — therapist Jimmy Laird deals with personal loss and changes his approach to treating patients through grief.
And if television ever dies, it won't be this year. As long as we have series like these, it's got plenty of life left — and judging by everything we're seeing, that life will be bright, intense, and very expensive. Earlier, we at zoomboola.com covered the 5 best series of 2025 — according to IMDb.
