Here's news that'll either make you cringe or have you asking "Where can I get tickets?" Paramount Animation is moving forward with an animated film based on Mark Pett's children's book with what might be the strangest title in movie history — "I Eat Poop: A Dung Beetle Story."
Ryan Reynolds is producing the project. And if you've seen any of the actor's previous productions ("Deadpool & Wolverine," "Free Guy") — you know this isn't just some weird idea. This is a calculated and potentially brilliant risk.

So talent-wise, everything checks out: wit, heart, and songs that'll potentially stick in your head for weeks.
Now for the plot. The main character is a beetle named Dougie. He moves to a new town, starts at a new school, and... tries to hide from everyone that what he eats isn't exactly cookies and milk. But his "quirk" might be exactly what saves everyone when strange disappearances start happening around town.
This'll be a story about self-acceptance, being different, and heroes we don't notice. Don't let the provocative title throw you — there might be a real gem hiding behind it.
Considering Reynolds' "Maximum Effort" company is handling the project (which means maximum irony, just like in "Free Guy"), we shouldn't expect just another animated movie — but possibly a new "Inside Out," only with bugs and a healthy dose of absurdity. Earlier on zoomboola.com, we reported that Matthew McConaughey might land the role of a famous detective.
