Writer J.K. Rowling is thrilled about the new Harry, Ron, and Hermione

What did the creator of the universe say about the young actors cast in iconic roles in the new series regarding the boy-wizard?

Well, it's official now: the new Harry, Ron, and Hermione have been found — and J.K. Rowling herself has approved them. Moreover, she is absolutely thrilled.

"All three are wonderful. I couldn't be happier," the writer wrote on her social media account on 'X', commenting on one of the week's main news stories.

On May 27, HBO announced that the casting for the trio of young wizards was complete. Harry Potter will be played by Dominic McLaughlin — a dark-haired guy with a somewhat Radcliffe-like look. Ron Weasley will be portrayed by the red-haired Alastair Stout, and Hermione by Arabella Stanton.

And as usual, there was discussion. Arabella has dark skin and dark hair — and the internet is already debating how "canonical" this is.

The casting, by the way, was extensive — 32,000 people auditioned for the roles. And it seems that we have a really strong trio in front of us. Filming will begin in the summer, and seven seasons are on the way, corresponding to the number of books. Yes, each season is a separate story: from "The Philosopher's Stone" to "The Deathly Hallows."

And let's remind: in the original films, the roles were played by Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint. Now the torch is in new hands. And, if we believe Rowling, everything is under control. Previously, at zoomboola.com, we talked about other actors cast in the series. Who will play Dumbledore and Hagrid — read in our article.
