The series is being developed by the company Onyx Collective. The new project is titled "Wisteria Lane" and will tell about the lives of the residents of the famous street where the events of the original show took place.
The producer of the upcoming series will be actress Kerry Washington, known for the films "Django Unchained" and "The Last King of Scotland."
The creator and former executive producer of "Desperate Housewives," Marc Cherry, is not directly involved in the development yet, but according to Deadline, he is aware of the project and may be brought on board.
