`Queen`s Gambit` Star Anya Taylor-Joy Marries in Venice

British actress and model Anya Taylor-Joy tied the knot after two years of dating.

The 27-year-old actress chose American musician Malcolm McRae. The couple has been together since 2021. The pair hosted a lavish wedding ceremony in Venice, attended by 150 guests, including Hollywood's own such as Cara Delevingne, Julia Garner, "Hunger Games" actor Nicholas Hoult, and others.

Taylor-Joy opted for an unconventional bridal look. The star of "Queen's Gambit" and "Peaky Blinders" wore a beige dress with a voluminous skirt adorned with bead embroidery, as well as a hummingbird and flower print. The actress styled part of her hair back, anchoring it with a white veil. Anya sported a striking terracotta makeup look.

Rumors of Anya and Malcolm's wedding had been circulating since last summer. However, the couple didn't confirm the news. Reportedly, Anya and Malcolm started planning in March. They visited Venice to scout popular wedding venues and eventually chose the 15th-century Palazzo Pisani Moretta along the Grand Canal in Venice.

Anya met her future husband in May 2021. The actress and her beau maintained a long-distance relationship since Taylor-Joy resides in London, while McRae lives in the US and performs with the alternative rock band More.
