Ella Purnell is a British actress with striking green eyes who's being hailed by the media as American director Tim Burton's new muse. Her acting career took off with her role in his film "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children." Since then, she has appeared in series such as "Yellowjackets" and "Fallout."Childhood
The young but already famous British actress was born on September 17, 1996, in London, where she currently lives with her mother and stepfather. She has three younger half-brothers on her father's side (her parents are divorced and have both remarried). Her mother is a yoga teacher, and her stepfather owns a sports club.
From an early age, Ella was driven to learn and excel. Perhaps that's why at age 12, she was lucky enough to be selected from hundreds of candidates for a role in the musical "Oliver!" based on Dickens' famous "Oliver Twist." After landing the role, she performed at the Royal Drury Lane Theatre with the children's troupe for the next year.

Acting Career
Ella Purnell made her film debut in 2010. When the musical "Oliver!" closed, she landed the role of young Ruth in the film adaptation of "Never Let Me Go," based on Kazuo Ishiguro's haunting novel about donor clones facing death after organ harvesting. The adult version of this character was played by Keira Knightley.



Ella also starred as the runaway rebellious girl Mackenzie in the film "Wildlike," which earned her several awards, including the Laiff June Award for Best Actress.
