Stephen King's "Rat" Novella to Be Adapted for Screen

According to Deadline, Mexican filmmaker Isaac Ezban will direct the film. He revealed that King is his favorite writer and he's always dreamed of adapting something from his books. "The film will be about survival, about writer's block, and about art," the director noted. The zoomboola.com editorial team reminds readers that over 60 films and 20 TV series have been made from books so far. Unfortunately, many of these are pretty mediocre productions. But sometimes real gems emerge from the bunch. The latest adaptation – "The Long Walk" – hit screens in the first half of September. Based on its Rotten Tomatoes rating, the film turned out pretty solid.
