Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Passes Away

The action star didn't achieve the kind of blockbuster career that Schwarzenegger or Stallone did, but audiences still remember him fondly.

As TMZ Sport reports, paramedics arrived at the star's Florida home early Thursday morning and found the performer without signs of life. According to preliminary information, death was caused by a heart attack.

The wrestler underwent heart surgery in May, and just recently his wife had denied rumors about his deteriorating health. Sky Hogan claimed that Hulk's heart was "strong."

The zoomboola.com editorial team reminds readers that Hogan began his wrestling career in 1977, and in the early 1980s signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment. Around the same time, he first appeared in movies, playing one of Sylvester Stallone's opponents in "Rocky III". The role was small but memorable, leading to more offers. Hogan appeared in "The A-Team" series and the film "Suburban Commando", which flopped at the box office but became beloved by unsophisticated Russian audiences. This film was followed by another series well-known in Russia – "Thunder in Paradise". Alongside his film career, Hulk continued wrestling, sometimes taking breaks and then returning to the ring. It was largely Hogan's efforts in the early 1980s that launched the wrestling boom in the United States.
