The sequel to the 2006 hit movie “The Devil Wears Prada” will be released 20 years later, in 2026. The premiere is scheduled for May 1.
It has yet to be officially confirmed whether actresses Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt will return to their roles. The only thing known for sure is that the original film's screenwriter, Aline Brosh McKenna, and producer Wendy Finerman have been working on the sequel since 2024.
This is reported by The Wrap, publishing the plot twist of the upcoming film. The second part will tell about the financial decline of the magazine “Runway.” To save her creation, editor Miranda Priestly turns to her former assistant Andy, who now works as an executive at a luxury brand. But will the main character offer expensive advertising to her former boss, who tormented her several years ago?
