The blonde wants more: Sydney Sweeney played a bandit in a western

The star of series conquers the Wild West in a pink fur coat.

A trailer for the crime film Americana, shot in the style of a modern Western, has been released online. The lead role is played by "Euphoria" star Sydney Sweeney. She is joined by singer Halsey and Simon Rex.

The film has a Tarantino vibe: fun, dynamic, with a bright set of flamboyant characters ready to go all the way. The plot follows a shy waitress at a roadside diner (Sweeney) who dreams of a better life. One day, she overhears a conversation about a collector who obtained a rare Native American artifact — a spirit robe. The girl persuades her boyfriend, a former soldier, to steal the valuable item and finally live like normal people.

Everything seems fine until a notorious bandit hired by an antiquities dealer, a local Native American leader, and a desperate woman running from her past join the chase for the robe. The fight for the artifact becomes intense — the diner girl will have to shoot like a real bandit. Interestingly, the film premiered back in 2023 at the South by Southwest festival. However, the Western will be shown to the general public only in the summer of 2025. Distributor Lionsgate will release it on August 22.

By the way, judging by the trailer, this is Sydney Sweeney's first project where she does not showcase her outstanding figure.
