The Cannes Festival has prohibited stars from appearing on the red carpet in revealing outfits

What clothing will be allowed at the upcoming show? And which looks from the past would now be banned — let's recall the most revealing appearances.

Parading in "naked" outfits at the 78th Cannes Film Festival is no longer possible. The organizers are introducing strict dress code rules for participants.

The event itself kicks off on May 13th. According to DailyMail, which reviewed the document, revealing outfits are no longer welcome not only on the red carpet but also in other festival areas.

Guests violating the rule simply won't get inside. So the "invisible dress" might now remain only in fitting room photos—it won't make it to Cannes.

Let's recall that there were plenty of such looks at previous festivals. Personally, I immediately remember two—the "naked" appearances of models Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

Bella hit the red carpet in 2024 in a transparent Saint Laurent dress. Kendall chose a similar dress in 2018, but from a different fashion house—Schiaparelli.

Now, Cannes is opting for conservative elegance: floor-length evening gowns, cocktail outfits, classic "little black dresses," pantsuits, tops, and neat shoes (even flats).
