The next James Bond will have to appear in the franchise for 10 years

The producers of the James Bond films, Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, commented on the future of the franchise. They shared what kind of image they are considering for the lead role.

They say the new Bond will be a man around thirty years old, and his ethnicity does not matter. The future Agent 007 must be ready to act for at least ten years.

Changing the actor will inevitably cause a period of adaptation for the audience. Every new Bond initially faced criticism, and the producers understand this. But, as experience shows, public opinion can change. Each actor brings something new to the role of Agent 007, opening fresh perspectives for the franchise.

Previously, it was reported that the new "agent" might be actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson. His candidacy was warmly received by viewers and fans of the franchise.

Notably, Johnson has been considered for the lead role for several years, alongside stars like Henry Cavill, James Norton, Cillian Murphy, and Idris Elba.

Foreign newspapers even wrote that the film studio Eon Productions has allegedly made an offer to the actor.

Actor Daniel Craig is arguably the most recognizable performer of the James Bond role to date. Five films with him have become box office record holders among all Bond films.

Craig officially became the sixth Bond in 2006 when he appeared in the 21st installment of the franchise, "Casino Royale." Not all viewers warmly received his candidacy. Many critics noted Craig's atypical appearance for Bond, his short stature, and blond hair.

However, "Casino Royale" was a commercial success, significantly reducing the number of viewers who criticized the actor.

Yet, despite the recognition, he remains the most controversial Bond among all who have ever portrayed the secret agent on screen.
