James Gunn Revealed the Problem with Marvel Movies

The filmmaker gave an extensive interview in which he discussed his plans and views on cinema. We find out what, in his opinion, is wrong with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In a conversation with Rolling Stone journalists, the "Guardians of the Galaxy" creator candidly admitted that what "killed" Marvel was the desire to churn out as many movies and shows as possible.

Another reason why audiences started getting tired of the studio's films, Gunn believes, was shooting without finished scripts. James plans to learn from his experience and take all this into account while working on DC films.

"Obviously we're going to do some good things and some not-so-good things, but hopefully on average everything will be as high-quality as possible. Nothing will go into production until I personally have a script and I'm happy with it," the director noted. The zoomboola.com editorial team reminds readers: Gunn previously responded to his haters who plan to boycott his "Superman" film and "bomb" it with negative reviews. The director is confident this won't hurt the movie at all. However, in his new interview, the DC Studios creative director decided to hedge his bets in case of failure: "I'll be happy if the box office is twice the budget – just a good result."
