Terrifying Accident
The accident, in which the "Hawkeye" actor nearly died, occurred on January 1, 2023, in Nevada. That day, Renner tried to tow his nephew's stranded vehicle using a snowplow.During the maneuver, the heavy equipment weighing over 6.5 tons started moving towards the actor's relative. Interestingly, in films, Renner often plays tough guys with incredible physical skills, like in Marvel's "Hawkeye" series. There, he is, of course, invincible, agile, strong. Arrows, explosions, falls—nothing fazes him. He gets scratched, brushes it off, and moves on.Then in real life, this snowplow incident happens. It turns out Renner is a hero not just on screen. He risked himself trying to help his nephew. He got countless fractures, nearly died. But he pulled through.
In movies, Hawkeye would likely be back in action after such an incident in a couple of scenes. Here, Renner had to recover for a long time. This wasn't special effects, but real pain, real effort, real medical work.
