Actor, bodybuilder, and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has been awarded an honorary doctorate. This title was bestowed upon the actor for his outstanding contributions in combating global warming and his active participation in the development of civil society.

According to DPA, Arnold received the award from the private university Hertie School. Vice-Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Robert Habeck came to congratulate the former governor.

Habeck thanked Schwarzenegger for his help in promoting renewable energy sources during his tenure in California.

Accepting the award, Schwarzenegger admitted that personal triumphs no longer matter to him as much as the opportunity to benefit society.
