Childhood and Youth

The future star was born in a Barcelona suburb to a working-class Spanish family. Her father, Pedro Corbero, worked as a furniture maker, while her mother, Esther Delgado, ran the household and raised the kids.

Ursula has an older sister named Monica, who was born when Esther was just seventeen. This got the teen kicked out of school, forcing the young mother to sell fish and mattresses, clean dental clinic floors, and arrange flowers just to support herself and her baby.

Eventually, she met a kind man who fell head over heels for both her and little Monica. Pedro Corbero married Esther and became a father figure to the young girl. A year later, their daughter Ursula was born.
Despite being strapped for cash, Ursula's parents were determined to help their daughters chase their dreams. At just six years old, Ursula announced she was going to be an actress - she'd binge-watch TV shows, sing and dance while copying performers, and never stopped saying she wanted to be up there with them. Her mother didn't discourage her - instead, she signed Ursula up for dance and voice lessons, and later acting classes as she got older.

Esther would take unpaid days off work to drive her daughter to auditions. They'd wait in endless lines, usually for nothing, but occasionally little Ursula would land a commercial. At thirteen, she finally scored her first real acting gig - playing ten-year-old Maria in the Catalan series "Mirall trencat". The debut went well, and over the next three years, Ursula landed roles in several more local TV shows.

Acting Career

The young actress first shot to fame playing rebellious schoolgirl Ruth Gomez in the teen series "Física o química". This national television production was later adapted in many countries.

Filming ran from 2008 to 2011, and Ursula's six-season performance earned her several awards, including Best Actress in TV Series and TV Shows. She also showcased her vocal talents on the project - her voice features in the main theme song performed by the group "Cinco de Enero".

Following this success, Ursula landed roles in feature films. She took on roles including Belen, a medical student in the Spanish horror thriller "Paranormal Xperience 3D", Beatriz de la Torro in the historical drama "14 de abril. La República", Margaret of Austria in the epic historical series "Isabel", plus dozens of other film and TV roles.

In 2012, Ursula made her theatrical debut in the play "Sexual Perversity in Chicago", which she took on a tour of cities in Spain. But her real breakthrough came in 2017 with the series "La casa de papel".

In "La casa de papel", Ursula played audacious robber Silene Oliveira, nicknamed Tokyo, who joins a criminal gang plotting to rob the Royal Mint of Spain. But money isn't the real focus - as the plot unfolds, the heist becomes a protest against the system, a fight for survival, and a test of the characters' resilience.

The creators drew inspiration from Mathilda in "Leon: The Professional" for Ursula's look: classic bob haircut, straight bangs, and signature black velvet choker. After the series launched, the actress became a style icon herself, wisely sticking with this winning look.

The show made the smart narrative choice of having Tokyo narrate both on and off-screen, letting viewers experience events through her perspective. This technique makes Ursula's character a central figure in the gang who holds her own against her brutal male accomplices.

While working on "Money Heist", she also starred in the drama "El árbol de la sangre" and the second season of the British-American series "Snatch". In 2016, she ventured into modeling, appearing in an advertising campaign for SPRINGFIELD alongside Mario Casas.

In 2018, luxury fashion house Bvlgari tapped Ursula to showcase their Fiorever diamond jewelry collection. She later became the face of multiple fashion brands, endorsing cosmetics, clothing, handbags, and eyewear.

In 2020, she shot the summer campaign for Jacquemus and starred in the music video for "Un Dia" by chart-toppers Dua Lipa, J Balvin, Bad Bunny, and Tainy.

From 2013 to 2015, Ursula dated actor Andres Velencoso. But while shooting "Embassy," she met Argentine actor Chino Darin, and they've been together ever since.

Ricardo Darin's son turned out to be Ursula's perfect match. He's also a talented photographer, which explains why Ursula's Instagram is packed with stunning shots. Chino was heavily involved in creating the "Un dia" music video that featured his girlfriend.

The media can't get enough of them, dubbing the pair "the Latin American Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston of the late '90s." Chino's family immediately approved of their son's choice, and Ursula's parents are also delighted with their daughter's partner. Wedding bells aren't ringing just yet though - the couple hasn't even moved in together, splitting time between Buenos Aires and Madrid.
