Chase Infiniti Biography

Chase Infiniti is a young American actress who went from complete unknown to working with Leonardo DiCaprio and Paul Thomas Anderson in just a couple of years.

She shot to fame with her role in the Apple TV+ miniseries "Presumed Innocent" (2024) and Paul Thomas Anderson's action film "One Battle After Another" (2025), where she played DiCaprio's character's daughter.

Childhood and Family

Chase was born in 2000 in Indianapolis. Her full name is Chase Infiniti Payne, but professionally she uses her middle name instead of her surname.

The name itself seemed to predict her Hollywood destiny. Her parents, construction company owner Keith Irvin Payne and his wife Kimberly Dawn Abel, named their daughter after Nicole Kidman's character Dr. Chase Meridian from "Batman Forever," while the middle name Infiniti came from Buzz Lightyear's iconic catchphrase "To infinity and beyond" from "Toy Story."

The actress's younger sister, who works in the fashion industry, is named Dolce. Looks like their parents really knew how to pick names.

When Chase was 10, her mom convinced her to audition for a school musical. The actress later recalled it was the best decision of her life. From that moment on, she knew she wanted to perform. As a kid, she also dreamed of becoming a singer, loved Disney princess movies, and was obsessed with "Hairspray" and "Grease."

In 2022, Chase graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. At the college's 2022 virtual graduation concert, she performed two songs: "No One Else" from the musical "Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812" and the more upbeat "I Got Love" from "Purlie: The Musical."

During her studies, Chase didn't just focus on acting—she also practiced kickboxing and co-founded the dance group Duple Dance Crew with friends, specializing in cover versions of Korean idol dances.

Chase's favorite group is the South Korean boy band ATEEZ. She explained her love for K-pop this way: just watching the dances is incredibly fun, but when you're actually learning the choreography to your favorite song—that's a whole different level.

When the pandemic hit and classes moved online, Chase used the time wisely—she started recording self-tapes on camera. And that skill would soon come in handy.

Acting Career

Right after graduating in 2022, Chase caught an agent's attention. Auditions started rolling in – one after another. Meanwhile, she had to pick up shifts in retail to make ends meet.

Seven months later, Infinity landed what seemed like a "random" audition that turned out to be casting for "Presumed Innocent." The series, based on Scott Turow's New York Times bestseller of the same name, was being produced for Apple TV+.

Chase scored the role of Jaden Sabich, the eldest daughter of lead character Rusty Sabich, played by Jake Gyllenhaal, and his wife Barbara, portrayed by Ruth Negga, who later praised her young colleague: "She has a long-term vision of herself as an artist, and she understands that."

It wasn't an easy role. The series turned out to be such a tangled mystery that even the cast didn't know who the real killer was until the end. The finale genuinely surprised everyone.

In February 2024, while filming "Presumed Innocent," Chase recorded and sent in a self-tape for a role in Paul Thomas Anderson's new film. At the callback, they asked her to demonstrate karate skills. Anderson himself was there. Despite never having done karate before, the director cast her that same day.

"One Battle After Another" – with a budget of $130 million – became Anderson's most expensive project. It featured sequences on a scale the director had never attempted before: explosions, car chases, bank heists. And Leonardo DiCaprio took the lead role.

Chase played Willa Ferguson, DiCaprio's character's daughter. She's got a purple belt in martial arts and a fierce sense of self-worth. According to Chase, her character is "assertive but not pretentious": "She's full of hope. I think she represents the possibility of a better future."

Working with DiCaprio was a revelation. Back in school, Chase was obsessed with "Catch Me If You Can" – she'd watch it over and over. So seeing DiCaprio in person felt like a gift from the universe.

When the first trailer dropped in spring 2025, one scene immediately went viral. In it, Chase stands in a field holding an assault rifle, dressed in a ballet tutu and combat boots. Other shots show her kicking through the glass partition of a police car.

Summer 2025 brought another surprise when rapper Tyler, the Creator asked Chase to appear in his music video for "Darling, I" – after spotting her in "One Battle After Another" trailer. The video came out August 19.

Personal Life and Interests

Chase keeps her personal life private. She says even when work gets intense, she needs moments of quiet.

Beyond her already-mentioned K-pop obsession, Chase's playlist includes tracks like "Dumb Dumb" by Red Velvet and "Tag Tag Tag" by Verivery.

Chase has big plans for the future. She dreams of working with Greta Gerwig or Steven Spielberg and really wants to do musicals.

Chase Infiniti Now

September 2025 became Chase's breakthrough moment. On the 26th, "One Battle After Another" hit theaters. The film drew serious attention from press and audiences alike, and Chase emerged as Hollywood's rising star.

At the same time, the actress wrapped work on "The Testaments," a spinoff of the cult classic "The Handmaid's Tale." Back in February 2025, it was announced she'd play one of three leads in the project. The premiere was set for 2026.

The series unfolds in the dystopian theocracy of Gilead more than 15 years after the events of "The Handmaid's Tale." It centers on three women: Aunt Lydia (Ann Dowd), Agnes, the daughter of June, the main character from "The Handmaid's Tale" (Chase Infiniti), and Daisy.

Showrunner Bruce Miller cast Chase after seeing her in "Presumed Innocent" and watching her dance covers.

Another project featuring Infiniti is the drama "The Julias," director Nicky Byrne's second feature film. Chase landed one of the lead roles.
