Fox and Rabbit Visit a Quokka for Therapy Sessions in "Zootopia 2" Trailer

Disney has unveiled a full-length trailer for the sequel, and it looks like we're in for more than just another adventure - it's going to be a real test for our beloved duo. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are working together again - but this time they'll have to deal with more than just criminals... they'll have to deal with themselves.

What the trailer shows

Judy and Nick are sitting in couples therapy. Turns out, despite their perfect chemistry in the first film, their newly formed partnership is hitting some bumps.

The partners get sent to a quokka therapist named Fazzby — and soon the rabbit, fox, bear, skunk, and armadillo are discussing feelings in a cozy office. But everything's not as cute as it seems. Judy and Nick clearly have relationship issues.

Plot

A strange and dangerous visitor appears on Zootopia's streets — a venomous snake named Gary De'Snake. Nick and Judy go undercover to uncover his motives and prevent disaster.

To do this, they'll need to infiltrate unexplored districts of the metropolis, where the rules are completely different and their partnership faces a serious test. Can they stay a team when everything goes sideways?

Who made it and who's voicing

Original directors Jared Bush and Byron Howard are back at the helm. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman returned to their roles, while Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan ("Everything Everywhere All at Once") voices the snake Gary. The worldwide premiere is set for November 26.

Why you should be excited

First, the original Zootopia was a genuine phenomenon in animation: it became the 25th film to cross the $1 billion mark at the box office, won the Oscar for "Best Animated Feature Film," and earned high critical praise — 89% "fresh" on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.0 out of 10 on IMDb.

Second, Disney seems to be deepening the story — now it's not just a detective story in a furry setting, but a nuanced exploration of teamwork, trust, and... interspecies friendship.

If the first film had Judy and Nick learning to understand each other, now they'll test whether their bond can really withstand genuine challenges. Earlier, we at zoomboola.com covered how Dafne Keen awakens evil with an Aztec artifact in the horror trailer for "The Whistle."
