The original movie followed a brilliant scientist who created a robot that her niece became attached to. But the AI-powered doll gained self-awareness and went on a horrific killing spree. The sequel picks up four years later when the military steals Gemma's creation, forcing the inventor to rebuild her killer doll to take down the army's version.
