Universal has finally released the long-awaited trailer for the musical "Wicked: For Good," the continuation of the fantasy story about how a fairy tale can easily turn into a parable. Back on screen, Cynthia Erivo as the green-skinned Elphaba and Ariana Grande as the good witch Glinda.
The new installment unfolds after the events of "Wicked: Part One": the friends, who once studied at Shiz University, are now on opposite sides of the barricade. Elphaba is an outcast hiding in the shadows of forests and caves, while Glinda is a fixture at public events and the symbol of the Emerald City. And, as the trailer suggests, a bride.

Amid this drama, familiar faces return: Jonathan Bailey once again as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible — and, of course, Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard, still weaving intrigues in his glittering lair full of strange inventions.
The essence of "Wicked" is revealed right now. We will show the consequences of the heroines' decisions from the first film, said director Jon M. Chu to Vanity Fair.
He also shared which musical hits we will hear in the second part: "Thank Goodness," "For Good," "No Good Deed," and — the poignant duet — "As Long as You’re Mine."
It all began when the shy but gifted Glinda and the striking green-skinned Elphaba studied together, argued, befriended, fell in love — and at some point found themselves at a crossroads, from where each went her own way. The first film told us about this; the second will show where it led.
The first part was warmly received by critics and audiences. On Rotten Tomatoes it holds 88% "freshness." On IMDb film reviewers gave it a 7.5 based on over 1,200 reviews.
The sequel is expected to premiere on November 21, 2025. Earlier, we at zoomboola.com analyzed the trailer for the film "Trust" starring a "Game of Thrones" star.
