In his recent memoir "Sonny Boy," Al Pacino nostalgically describes working on the film adaptation of the comic "Dick Tracy" (1990). The actor speaks of the film with admiration and praises director Warren Beatty for his ability to showcase actors in the best light.

Pacino fondly recalls his role as a colorful villain, even mentioning some liberties taken with his co-star, Madonna, reports Entertainment.

In the film, Pacino plays a mafia boss who kidnaps Madonna's character. In some scenes, his character treats the girl quite roughly.
I had the best time of my life in this role. I danced on the table and actually teased Madonna. Just a little, I just love to slap something.

Madonna mentioned that Pacino, deeply immersed in his role, sometimes crossed boundaries, even approaching her off set. Although the singer admitted that in the gangster role, her colleague made her feel uneasy, in real life she considered him a polite and gallant person.

"He always slapped me on the butt and face... so off set, I tried to keep my distance from him. He would grab me and say, 'Come here!' which is exactly what happened in the movie," Madonna recalled.
