What the film is about
The short film's creator, nana825763, uploaded the video in 2016 to his YouTube channel. There's no dialogue in the film, just brief descriptions of what's happening on screen through title cards. In the short, a person hiding behind the camera simply walks through his grandparents' crumbling house. Strange chanting plays in the background, and the furniture looks like it's made of flesh and blood. Sometimes a terrifying red figure appears that resembles a human: it lies on the bed in silence.
Viewing experience
Throughout the entire video, I caught myself feeling anxious and expectant: something was about to happen, someone was going to jump out from around the corner, but none of that ever came.

All of this makes it one of the strangest films in the genre.
Audience and critic reactions
The film's rating on IMDb is 7.5 out of 10, which is pretty impressive given how experimental the format is.Viewers liked the experiment. One of them, under the username nakulvsalat, wrote in their review:
The mystery surrounding the protagonist's grandparents, combined with strikingly realistic effects, keeps you on edge, making you fear hidden threats. But what's most unsettling is the protagonist's behavior as he unravels these secrets. His detachment and indifferent description of the house's features create a disturbing dissonance.
"My House Walk-Through" isn't for everyone. But if you do decide to watch the entire short film — it's a video you definitely won't forget. Earlier on zoomboola.com, we covered the short film "The Other Side of the Box" — a horror about a creature hiding in a box.
