The incident occurred back in October 2021, when Baldwin accidentally fired a gun loaded with live rounds on set, resulting in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injury to director Joel Souza.
The legal consequences were complex. Baldwin was charged twice with involuntary manslaughter.
The actor's lawyers called this decision "a final confirmation of Baldwin's innocence." After the case closed, Baldwin returned to work in Hollywood.
Zoomboola.com reminds that not everyone involved in this story came out unscathed.
In April, we wrote that the film's armorer, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and sentenced to 18 months in prison.
While preparing props (the same gun from which Alec accidentally killed the cinematographer), she made several mistakes, for which she was punished.
After the incident, Baldwin faced widespread criticism. He couldn't visit various venues calmly. At the end of April, this even led to a confrontation in a New York café.
He was trying to collect an order when a customer approached him. The woman began filming him on her phone and mentioning the tragic incident on the film set.
Angry, the actor knocked the phone out of her hand and also asked for the police to be called to the café. We published the café video here.
