Our principles

We believe that even entertainment journalism should be based on verified facts. We believe that engaging stories can be told without resorting to fiction and questionable sources. We want you to understand: every news piece undergoes thorough verification before appearing on the pages of our publication.

How We Verify Facts

Presumption of doubt. We do not take any information at face value, except that which was told firsthand, directly by the subject of the publication. "Insider sources," "friends of the star," and "eyewitnesses" — these formulations evoke healthy skepticism in us.

Multi-level verification system. Each piece goes through at least three levels of verification. The author checks information through authoritative sources. The editor verifies facts with the existing knowledge base and their own sources. The fact-checker double-checks key statements, especially sensational ones.

Transparency of sources. We always strive to obtain information firsthand. This includes:
  • official social media accounts of celebrities,
  • press releases from studios and production companies,
  • direct comments from celebrity representatives,
  • court documents and official statements.
We carefully verify the authenticity of social media accounts. For verified accounts, we consider posts as the official position of the celebrity, but always take into account the possibility of hacking.

Even statements from official representatives are cross-checked with other available facts. History knows many cases where press services denied truthful information or spread false information.

When working with photos from third-party sources, we check the metadata of photos, confirm the time and place of shooting, avoid manipulative angles, and do not publish photos that violate a person's privacy without a socially significant reason. We treat rumors with special caution:
  • we publish only information that is confirmed by at least two independent sources;
  • we indicate in the headline and text that this is unverified information if full confirmation is impossible;
  • we update materials when official denials or confirmations appear.
When covering celebrities' personal lives, we:
  • publish only information that has public significance or is confirmed by the celebrities themselves,
  • avoid speculation on topics of sexual orientation, health, or family problems,
  • respect the right to privacy of celebrities' children.
Information about new film projects is verified through:
  • official studio announcements,
  • confirmed publications in professional media (Kinopoisk, Kino-teatr, IMDB, Variety, Hollywood Reporter, etc.),
  • comments from representatives of actors and directors,
  • registration of projects in professional databases.
When covering conflicts and scandals:
  • we give voice to all parties involved in the conflict,
  • clearly differentiate between facts, statements, and rumors,
  • avoid unfounded accusations,
  • monitor the development of the situation and update materials.
In our publications, we try to achieve maximum transparency for our audience:
  • provide links to primary sources (social media posts, interviews),
  • publish full video interviews when possible,
  • indicate when information is based on exclusive sources.

Error Correction

When we discover an error:
  1. We immediately publish a correction.
  2. If the error concerned a celebrity's reputation — we write a refutation that appears on the main page.
  3. We contact the person's representatives to apologize.
Each significant error becomes the subject of an editorial analysis, where we analyze:
  • how inaccurate information passed all stages of verification;
  • which sources failed us;
  • how to improve the information verification process.

Principles

  • Commitment to impartiality and fairness: the same fact-checking standards for all statements, regardless of their source.
  • Transparency of sources: provide enough details about the sources used so readers can independently verify their conclusions.
  • Transparency of methodology: explain the methodology we use to select, research, write, edit, publish, and correct our materials.

Feedback

We value the opinions of readers and industry representatives. If you notice an error or inaccuracy, please contact the editorial team and report it.
