Scarlett Johansson revealed how she got herself a role in the film `Jurassic World Rebirth`

It turned out that the actress had been trying for a long time to get into the project, even if her character would be killed off in the first five minutes.

Universal Pictures released the long-awaited trailer for the movie where Scarlett ultimately landed the lead role on February 5.

In an interview with “Variety,” Johansson admitted that she has been a longtime fan of the series. As a child, she even had a dinosaur-themed tent where she slept with her sister Vanessa: I was truly crazy about the [original] movie.

For years, the actress wrote to her agents to get her into any film of the franchise:
For over 10 years, I tried to get into this franchise in every possible way: 'I'll die in the first five minutes! Anyone can eat me!' I would do anything for it. The fact that it happened this way and now is just incredible. I can't believe it.

When they were making “Jurassic World Dominion” (2022), Scarlett was working on a nearby set for “Black Widow.” She insisted on seeing the set: Show me! I want to participate!, she told her team.

Scarlett's childhood dream finally came true. She was cast in the new film, which, according to “Imdb,” is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025. In the movie, Johansson plays the character Zora Bennett, who seeks dinosaur blood for a heart disease cure.

The new installment of the franchise was made following the success of the previous two. "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" was released in 2018, grossing $1.3 billion with a $170 million budget. "Jurassic World Dominion" followed, earning $1 billion with a $165 million budget.

We at Zoomboola.com enjoyed the films, but critics liked each new installment less and less. This is also reflected in audience reactions: on the review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, the second installment of "World" has a 47% score based on about 430 critic reviews. "Dominion" fared even worse, with only 29% based on over 400 reviews.

Critic Francesca Steele, for example, believes the films lack the adrenaline: …that was in the previous parts, proving the franchise needs to end. Rick Bentley calls the films a painful failure:
All the magic of the original movie is gone, replaced by a convoluted story, tired characters, and technologies that now seem archaic.

Three years have passed since the last film's release, and Universal Pictures is attempting to reignite audience interest in dinosaurs. We hope Scarlett will help them succeed.
